hi, i'm sakura .
I am a Designer and Illustrator with Japanese roots based in Las Vegas. I cherish making precious moments more memorable through art. I studied at Nevada State University and specialized in Animation and Art Direction, currently expanding my skills as a Graphic Production Designer at Blueprint Studios while working as a comfy illustrator vending in local art markets.
I have prior experience as a designer and events coordinator at Nevada State University Library where I lead design, marketing, and project management with the student community, featuring my artwork on the local news for "Nevada State College plans for improvements, expansion, as attendance grows."
In 2023, my experimental films, "Can Angels Fly?" (2022) and “Dove” (2023) were selected for the Undergraduate Research And Creative Works Conference (URCW) with “Train of Thought” (2023) winning best Long Animation Film Award in 2024. In 2020, my traditional watercolor painting of a joyful bus ride interaction titled, "Day-to-Day" won the Happy Times Calendar contest.
